Mind Journeys

Privacy

Last updated 3 August 2026

Binaural Beats: Mind Journeys has no accounts and no sign-in. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage data to work out which journeys are worth building next, and you can turn that off in the app.

What stays on your device

Your name (if you enter one during onboarding), your chosen goal, your appearance preference and any journeys you build are stored on your device using Apple's standard storage. They are not transmitted to us. Deleting the app removes them.

Anonymous usage data

We use PostHog to record which journeys are started, finished or ended early, and the shape of journeys people build — how many steps, how long, which frequencies. It tells us what to improve.

It is configured to be anonymous: person profiles are disabled entirely, so there is no per-user record to build on, and the app never identifies you. Session replay is off — we never see your screen.

Your name is never sent, and neither are the names you give journeys you create. Only their shape is recorded.

To turn it off: Settings → Share anonymous usage data. The setting is honoured before anything is sent, and switching it off also discards anything queued on your device.

What we never collect

No advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts, no microphone access, no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. To manage entitlements and show the right offer, the app uses two third-party services:

  • RevenueCat — subscription state. Receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase status.
  • Superwall — decides which paywall to show. Receives an anonymous identifier and basic device information.

Neither receives your name or anything you create in the app. Apple never shares your payment details with us.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
